Caitlin Clark seems to think she’s capable of beating Cooper DeJean in basketball.

Prior to the former Iowa DB being selected in the second round of the NFL Draft by the Eagles, he made some waves when he revealed teams were asking him during interviews if he could beat Clark one-on-one.

DeJean, a former high school star and legit freak athlete, indicated he believed he’d win. Of course, he’s 100% correct. Yet, his answer set off a chain of reactions of people questioning on how Caitlin Clark could possibly lose to him.

The answer is because he’s light years more athletic. Well, it turns out Clark also thinks she’d beat DeJean one-on-one.

Caitlin Clark responded to Cooper DeJean’s one-on-one prediction.

“She took a shot back at me after. She text me and said she doesn’t think I could beat her. I’ll let her say that, but I think it’d be fun though if we got to play each other,” DeJean said when asked about the situation by Kay Adams.

Things got a bit weird from there. Adams claimed she didn’t believe DeJean would win….and then his high school highlights started rolling. All of a sudden, she didn’t seem very confident in her claim Caitlin Clark could beat the Eagles rookie.

Kay Adams suggesting he couldn’t win literal seconds before seeing his high school highlights is the kind of energy we all need to get our day going. She was so confident the Indiana Fever rookie would roll.

Then, reality set in as she watched Cooper DeJean pull off dunks some guards in the NBA couldn’t do.

Also, let’s compare their size because the difference is comical. Caitlin Clark is listed 6’0″ and 155 pounds. DeJean was listed on Iowa’s roster last season at 6’1″ and 207 pounds.

They’re nearly the same height, but he’s 50 pounds of muscle heavier. And to be clear, none of this is to take away from Clark as a basketball player. She was the greatest scorer in major women’s college basketball history, and is now tasked with elevating the WNBA.

She’s an insane basketball player. A true phenom. However, facts and science matter. She would get cooked by Cooper DeJean. Cooked. Now, could she crush me one-on-one? Absolutely, but I’m not an NFL CB and former high school star.
