TEGNA Inc. and the WNBA announced a partnership Wednesday to broadcast several Fever games this season.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — You will soon be able to watch one of the greatest college basketball players in history embark on her rookie season as a professional on WHAS11.

The WNBA and TEGNA Inc., WHAS11’s parent company, announced a broadcasting partnership Wednesday to air 17 Indiana Fever games over the air this season. The Fever recently drafted superstar Caitlin Clark with the No. 1 overall pick.

“This is a pivotal moment for our Fever team and women’s basketball, more broadly, and this groundbreaking partnership with TEGNA will ensure more fans than ever will be able to watch this historic season,” said Rick Fuson, Pacers Sports and Entertainment chief executive officer.

Ten Fever games will be shown live on WHAS11 and seven additional games will air live on channel 11.2, which you can pick up with a standard antenna. There will also be two more games shown nationally by ABC for a total of 19 Fever games this season on WHAS11.

The agreement also expands coverage for TEGNA markets in Indianapolis (WTHR), Quad Cities, Iowa (WQAD) and Des Moines, Iowa (WOI).

Clark took the sports world by storm at the University of Iowa. She was a two-time national player of the year and became the all-time leading scorer in Division I history last season.
