Controversy is nothing new for LSU basketball star Angel Reese

Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky put up a dominant performance in their second preseason game of the year against the New York Liberty.

Reese has had a great showing, scoring 13 points on six of ten shooting and adding five rebounds against the Liberty, the WNBA’s runner-ups from a season ago. Chicago beat New York 101-53.

The Liberty feature two of the WNBA’s best: Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu.

But Reese, the former college basketball star who went No. 7 overall in last month’s draft, did not back down to the challenge against the two superstars.

In the third quarter, Reese went straight into the body of Stewart and scored a tough basket. As you can imagine, social media erupted.

Reese’s performance came just one night after her appearance at the Met Gala, where she turned heads all night long.

It’s obviously just the preseason, but it’s great to see Reese get off to such a nice start in her WNBA career.
