Family Feud hasn’t been family-friendly in recent episodes

STEVE Harvey’s surprising reaction to a Family Feud contestant cursing on air has fans going wild.

The game show host didn’t know how to respond to a player answering a prompt with an expletive.

In a clip from a recent episode posted to TikTok, two contestants go head-to-head at the buzzer for a chance to play the game.

Steve delivered the prompt, “When I was a kid, we didn’t have what?”

Player Mike immediately pressed the buzzer, though his guess wasn’t exactly family-friendly.

“Sh*t,” Mike blurted out, which was bleeped and masked with a poop emoji over his mouth.

BIG BLEEP

Steve stared wide-eyed at Mike, with his mouth open, looking completely dumbfounded by his response.

The audience and Mike’s family laughed at the shocking guess as Steve contemplated how to continue.

“It was the first thing that came to my head,” Mike explained.

“It was the first thing that came to your head? Steve replied before demanding the crowd to “stop clapping.”

“I figured they’d buzz it if they didn’t like it,” Mike reasoned. “They’ll bleep it out, won’t they?”

Steve, hunched over the podium, asked, “What do I turn around and say? I mean, Mike, I’ve got a career here I’m working on.”

The host then took a cue from someone off-camera and pointed to the board instead of repeating the curse word.

He yelled, “It!” and was once again shocked when a similar answer was revealed as the number four answer.

Applause again ensued when “Any Money” was displayed on the board, accepting the contestant’s profaned answer.

Fans shared their reactions in the comments of the post.

“Um, how does that translate into money?” one person wrote.

“Family feud just keeps getting easier, you can say basically anything and they’ll just give you an answer that had nothing to do with yours!” complained another.

“The Steve Harvey stare,” a third laughed.

Comments continued on Instagram, with someone else joking, “He broke Steve and the board knew what he was talking about.”

“Steve’s face be killing me,” a fan added.

SHOW SHIFT

This is hardly the first time Steve has been stunned by a contestant’s response on Family Feud.

Earlier this week, the former Steve Harvey Show host encouraged a player who gave a raunchy answer to a prompt.

Weeks before, Steve raised eyebrows when he acted out a contestant’s racy response on stage.

Fans have also complained that the show has pivoted to asking a lot of risqué questions and sympathized with the TV host for having to go along with it.
