Jason Kidd reacts to foul

Following a loss in the NBA Finals series opener, the Dallas Mavericks found themselves in a difficult position on Sunday, facing the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden. Despite the latter being in the lead, the Mavs didn’t lose hope and gave their best effort, but a controversial no-call ended their night with a 98-105 defeat.

With under a minute left in the game, the Mavs forward P.J. Washington ran toward the basket after receiving a ball from teammate Kyrie Irving. As he attempted a layup, Celtics’ Jaylen Brown pushed him on the back while Derrick White thrashed the ball from his hand, which cost Dallas a bucket. However, the game officials didn’t call it a foul; instead, the Celtics got hold of the ball.

When Mavs HC Jason Kidd was asked about the call in the post-game press conference, he simply stated, “It looked like a foul. But it wasn’t called, so it wasn’t a foul.”

Kidd focused on the upcoming crucial games at the American Airlines Center, which could be a turning point for the home team. However, the NBA community was not happy with the coach’s reaction.

Social Media Reacts to Jason Kidd’s Post-Game Comments

After Jason Kidd expressed his opinion on P.J. Washington’s call, the NBA fans on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) gathered to speak their minds against the Mavericks coach and the disallowed call.

A fan commented, “This guy is a terrible coach”.

While another pointed out, “Kidd is too laid back sometimes. He needs to just call out the @NBAOfficial for rigging the game in the @Celtics favor”.

Someone wrote, “if washington made it, they probably still lost”, as the Mavs couldn’t cut the deficit in the remaining time.

“Dude is cringe”, added one fan.
