Those types of numbies are legitimately near impossible that I’m considering full advocacy for Angel Reese ROTY honors.

I don’t have a dog in the fight between her and Clark, to me they’re both superstar players and need each other to grow a rivalry and the game.

But we can call a spade a spade and admit that Reese is a viral cheat code, which is why I’m putting pen to paper here.

I wrote a blog a few days ago about Angel Reese rejecting men who are begging to be one of the first men flown out to a WNBA game:

Let me start by saying this is an objectively hilarious video by Angel Reese.

I don’t care what side you’re on in the rookie of the year debate, her or Clark, but making a full response to all the men asking you to fly them out is 200 IQ.

And athletes flying out some of their “fans” to see one of their games is nothing new.

But in 2024, long gone are the days of the iconic JR Smith “you tryna get the pipe?”:

Instead, look under the replies of any of the WNBA social media superstars like Cameron Brink, Angel Reese, Kysre Gondrezick before she started dating Jaylen Brown, and you’ll find a brigade of messages begging to be one of the first ever men flown out to see a WNBA game.

These requests have gone largely, or all, unnoticed until Angel Reese released this video addressing some of the wanna-be HAB’s (husbands-and-boyfriends, to rival the WAGs (wives-and-girlfriends)).

How did her group of stans (appropriately named the Reese’s Pieces) respond? By calling her broke:

My social media brain is clicking and I know that “flying someone out” is supposed to be relatively secret, especially if you’re a famous athlete, but I need a man doing a “get ready with me to get flown out to see my girlfriend play basketball” vlog like I need air to breathe.

If influencers like Alix Earle can become multi millionaires with zillions of followers, then why can’t Jason who is going to be sitting courtside at a Chicago Sky game do the same?

Unfortunately, the price just went up after the last few days with this viral tweet, Reese and the Sky beating the Las Vegas Aces on the road, and the WNBA signing a new $2 billion media rights deal:

Seems like no men will be flown out at the expense of Angel Reese anytime soon. Sorry fellas. And I’m a Celtics hater through and through, but what a summer it has been for Jaylen Brown (besides that whole national team snub thing). He just happens to be dating ex-Angel Reese teammate Kysre Gondrezick which is why they were all at the game together. Some men just have it all.
