Sydnie Christmas won this year’s edition of Britain’s Got Talent and ITV viewers were quick to bash her for her victory as they claimed to have spotted a hint she would win the series.

The singer, 28, won the competition this Sunday, June 2, after an action-packed final aired on ITV. She battled for the winning title within the last few minutes against magician Jack Rhodes, who came in second place closely followed by mother-daughter dancing duo Abigail and Afronita.

While she earns bragging rights for winning, Sydnie has also earned the cash prize of £250k, along with the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance. But seconds after she was voted to win, the gym worker was brutally bashed online.

“Fixed as f*** that she’s had a singing career before”, one fan furiously commented on X, formerly known as Twitter, while another echoed: “They’re not even trying to hide the fact that this show is rigged.” A third added: “OMG it’s been soooo obvious since day one that Simon was obsessed with that Sydnie girl. she’s good but yawn at another singer winning (im guessing), justice for the border collies.”

But according to numerous fans of the show, Sydnie’s win was hinted at by the fact she was the last to perform in this Sunday’s show, following Jack Rhodes’ act. “Final duel: Jack Rhodes VS Sydnie Christmas They were the last 2 acts to perform tonight, but will it be the magician or the singer that takes the W?”, one questioned.

“Could have guessed Sydnie Christmas was going to be on last”, another added. “I said that Sydnie would be last on before show started and would win. How many times has last act on won?”, a third chimed in. Another echoed: “Sydnie Christmas given the last slot to win it all but ruined it with that song choice”, in reference to Sydnie’s rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow.

One fan speculated: “So an already established singer just won BGT 2024, what a fix. Jack was robbed but they knew what they were doing when choosing the running order, not a coincidence both Jack and Sydnie were the last 2 acts and in the top 2 and Simon’s whole no professionals in the top 2.”

This year’s Britain’s Got Talent revealed Sydnie Christmas to the public as the first act to be awarded a Golden Buzzer, and a free pass to the live semi-finals, by judge Amanda Holden following her tear-jerking rendition of Tomorrow from the musical Annie.
