Jennifer Lopez cancels her tour: 'It was absolutely necessary'

Jennifer Lopez won’t be going out on tour this summer after all.

The 54-year-old singer, dancer and actor has canceled her 2024 “This Is Me…Live” summer concert tour, Live Nation announced May 31.

“Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends,” the entertainment company explained.

Lopez told fans in a statement provided in her newsletter, “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again.

“I love you all so much. Until next time…” she added.

Lopez exclusively announced on TODAY in February she would go on her first North American tour in five years this summer. She was scheduled to kick off her tour in June and wrap it up in August.

The tour was to be in support of Lopez’s latest studio album, “This Is Me…Now,” inspired by her rekindled romance with husband Ben Affleck.

The “Atlas” star released the album on Feb. 16 in conjunction with the accompanying film “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story,” which featured a fictionalized narrative about her love life, including her marriage to Affleck.

Tickets for Lopez’s canceled concerts will be automatically refunded for fans who purchased them through Ticketmaster, Live Nation explained. Those who purchased concert tickets from a third-party resale site should reach out to the site for more details, the entertainment company added.
