Emmerdale fans have warned that abuser Tom King’s fate has been ‘sealed’ after he made a crucial mistake while tormenting his wife Belle Dingle in a dramatic flashback episode.
In the two-hander, Belle feared for her life as Tom’s vile treatment of her continued to escalate, after learning that he was planning to permanently move them to a remote cottage in Wales, without her family’s knowledge.
After Charity and Cain Dingle found the cottage trashed and splattered with blood in an episode earlier this week, viewers finally discovered the truth about Belle and Tom’s trip away on Wednesday.
Since their engagement last year, Tom’s abuse and control of Belle has continued to escalate, despite her hopes that he would change his ways.
After travelling to Wales with their dog Piper, Belle was terrified to learn that Tom was planning to make a permenant offer on the cottage without her knowledge, and had already secured a job as a vet.

Tom angrily struck his wife before locking her in the house, and in violent scenes Belle cut her hand on broken glass, leading to the blood smeared on the door.
After appearing to hint he could kill her, Belle locked herself in a room and the next morning, when Tom was in the shower, she decided to escape with Piper, locking him in the house.
Tom chased Belle across the fields, but she managed to stop a passing bus and climbed aboard with Piper.
With the driver refusing to let Tom aboard the bus, viewers have now claimed his downfall has been sealed, with others clearly witnessing his abusive behaviour.
Posts to X included: ‘Go that bus driver!!!! She knew! #Emmerdale; Bus driver knew #emmerdale;’
‘Loved the bus driver knowing exactly what was happening #Emmerdale;’
‘That bus driver knew what was going on!! Well done to her #emmerdale.’
And while Emmerdale fans are hoping that this will be end of Belle’s ordeal at the hands of her violent husband, producer Laura Shaw recently shared that the hard-hitting storyline will continue to run until the end of the year.

Speaking at a recent press event, she said: ‘We said right from the beginning that we wanted to tell this story as authentically and truthfully as we can.
‘Let’s face it, for people who are subjected to domestic abuse this isn’t something that’s over in a couple of weeks, it’s something that goes on for a long length of time and we wanted to be truthful to that.
‘I think you can expect that this storyline is going to run until the end of this year.
Star James Chase recently revealed how proud his parents are of him as he terrifies the Dales as evil Tom King.
Speaking about the role James told The Mirror: ‘[My parents] are really proud of me for landing the role but, like me they think he is a complete b*****d’.
‘When they watch me they can’t believe some of the awful things that come out of his mouth, nobody in their right mind would say what Tom says to Belle, even though I knew it was going to be domestic violence storyline I have been shocked at the levels he will go to’.
James went on to explain how proud he and co-star Eden were to be apart of such an important storyline.
Saying: ‘We both hope if this story helps one person find the bravery to break out of something so horrible, then that would be incredible’.
