NBA legend and Chicago Sky part-owner Dwyane Wade couldn’t be prouder of Angel Reese after the rookie was selected to the WNBA All-Star team.
On Tuesday, Reese was one of the 12 players voted into the WNBA All-Star squad that will face off against Team USA in the All-Star Game on July 20th in Phoenix, Arizona.
Reese was naturally emotional after her selection. She was actually in tears during her presser following the Sky’s win over the Atlanta Dream after she heard the good news.
As for Wade, he quickly took to Instagram to share how happy he is for the Sky rising star.
The Miami Heat icon also had a strong message for those doubting or hating on Reese, emphasizing that they better give her the respect she deserves.
“Yall gonna listen when [Angel Reese] speaks. Congrts All [Star],” Wade wrote along with a photo celebrating Reese’s WNBA All-Star accomplishment.
Reese definitely deserves to be an All-Star. She’s already one of the best players in the WNBA, and she’s currently toe-to-toe with fellow All-Star Caitlin Clark for the Rookie of the Year award.
The Chi Barbie is a consistent double-double machine, currently averaging 13.2 points and 11.8 rebounds per game.
Her incredible play has the Sky competing for a playoff spot, which speaks volumes of her massive impact.
