Chiefs star Mecole Hardman Jr. popped the question to his girlfriend, Chariah Gordon, three years after they started dating.

The Kansas City wide receiver and his fiancée made the exciting announcement in separate Instagram posts Thursday, featuring a video of Hardman’s surprise proposal.

‘Say hello to the Future Mr. & Mrs. Hardman,’ the couple captioned their clips, which showed the 26-year-old getting down on one knee in front of their family and friends.

The skincare mogul explained on her Instagram Story that she thought she was meeting her beau for a regular date night, and was dressed in low key sweats for the occasion.

Gordon was visibly shocked when she was led into a room decorated with white rose petals and candles, along with a huge sign that read, ‘Will you marry me?’

The 29-year-old was also serenaded by Jon B, who sang ‘I Do’ as she walked towards Hardman and he got down on one knee.

After he popped the question, Gordon yelled, ‘yes!’ so her friends and family could hear.

The athlete then slipped a mammoth, marquee-shaped diamond ring on her finger.

‘Damn boy she gon throw her shoulder out with that rang!!’ one fan joked about the size of the ring.

‘Mecole winning on and off the field!!!!’ another chimed in.

The pair began dating in 2021 and made headlines when their first child was born on the day the Chiefs won the Super Bowl.

Gordon’s water broke as he was preparing to play in the game on February 12, 2023.

‘Welcoming our healthy baby boy together in this world while watching the Chiefs win the Super Bowl!! Could not be any Happier!’ Hardman wrote on Instagram at the time, alongside a pic of their newborn.

‘A father and now a 2x Super Bowl Champ! Thanks to everyone for the prayers and support,’ he added.

After welcoming their son Three, Gordon gave birth to a baby girl earlier this year, though they haven’t shared her name or birthdate.

The engagement news comes a couple of weeks after Taylor Swift made headlines for celebrating Hardman’s contract extension with the Chiefs.

On June 6, the reigning Super Bowl champions granted the wide receiver a one-year extension to remain in Kansas City.

During the team’s ring ceremony, the pop star joined Gordon’s live stream and took to the comments to praise her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s teammate.

‘AND WE GET ANOTHER YEAR OF MECOLE,’ Swift wrote, adding a crown emoji.

The Georgia alum previously opened up about his exchange with Love Story songstress after catching the game-winning touchdown during Super Bowl LVIII.

‘She was like, “Good job, proud of you, good game.” Like, ‘Man, it was crazy,” he said on an episode of The Pivot Podcast in February.

‘Then she said something about doing these magic tricks,’ he went on, explaining that he did a magic card trick the first time he met her at a house party.

‘Every time she sees me she talks about it,’ he continued. ‘So then she was like, “Man, you and these cards,” like … “Your hands are magical,” or something like that. Like, “You catch the game-winning touchdown.”‘
