Ben Shephard’s ‘rude’ comment was caught by cameras on This Morning today.

The ITV host was caught making a ‘rude’ comment just moments before This Morning went to a break on Wednesday. Ben and Cat Deeley had been chatting about the soaps with soap writer and TV star Sharon Marshall, before they teased that a chat with Cindy Beale star, EastEnders actress Michelle Collins, would be coming up shortly.

As they joked about Cindy’s scenes with Junior during last night’s episode – where the pair got frisky at Beales’ Eels – they showed the video of Cindy and Junior kissing in the dark, with Michelle being forced to look away.

The presenting duo then announced that Tom Kerridge would be joining them first to cook an apple upside down cake from his new book, with the pair thrilled to be tasting the cake. However, as the cameras went off and the This Morning titles were being shown, Ben could be heard saying “speaking of tarts” and earning a laugh from the others.

One of the people in the studio can then be heard saying “how rude” as the pair joked with Michelle Collins about her scenes and the show went to a break. When they got back from the break, Ben and Cat introduced Tom and the cooking segment began.

Michelle Collins previously teased that Cindy – who has now cheated on Ian with both Junior and his dad George – was back to her “old tricks” and warned that Cindy’s time away from Walford hadn’t changed her.

“If we had the old Cindy back, she wouldn’t be able to live in Albert Square! But I do think she’s up to her old tricks again. Cindy’s good at being manipulative, and for some reason, she can make men do what she wants them to for a while,” she said.

“Eventually, I think they will catch on. Living a nice, quiet family life isn’t for Cindy. Some people calm down a bit as they get older, but not Cindy. She’s bold, brazen and can’t help but create drama. If you thought that Cindy had settled down, forget it!”
