X FACTOR legend Janet Devlin looks worlds away from the show in these steamy new promo snaps.

The now 29 year-old singer has gone for a racy new look to promote her new single and album.

In our exclusive photos, Janet – who hails from Northern Ireland – strips down to a checked underwear set, adorned with red bows.

The look was completed with netted stockings and suspenders.

The suggestive shoot sees the former talent show singer, who was just 16 when she reached the finals of the ITV series in 2011, posing provocatively in her skimpies in a kitchen.

Janet holds a mixing bowl and sits on the sink, striking a sultry shape while showing off her heavily inked arms.

Gone are the curly red tresses she was famous for on Simon Cowell’s show, replaced by a blonder mane that has been crimped in an 80s fashion for the shoot.

The retro-looking kitchen was the perfect setting for the quirky shoot, with pink units, purple curtains and a funky looking lamp.

Today, Janet released her new single, Country Singer, from her upcoming album, Emotional Rodeo.

Her last single reached number 4 on the iTunes County chart, as well as hitting No.31 on The Big Top 40 earlier this year.

Talking about the new material, she said: “Stepping into and owning my womanhood meant stepping into self-belief. Not just a surface-level “I love myself” Instagram post. It meant dissecting every aspect of my life and identifying where my actions weren’t marrying with my words.

“In my work, I was a confident, self-assured, and empowered woman. But why was I still insecurely hanging on to male validation in my personal life?

“Needless to say, not anymore! I no longer slice myself into more digestible, palatable pieces for their consumption. Gone are the days of pleading and begging for a man’s love.”

Janet also made headlines last year when she toured with an unlikely musical partner: Hollywood actor Russell Crowe.

She hit the road with the Gladiator star and his band, and toured across Australia and Europe.

Janet then recorded her latest record in Nashville, the home of country music.

Next month, she will be a special guest at Crowe’s Dublin show.

She will perform with him at the Gaiety Theatre on July 1.

Janet reached the Quarter Finals of The X Factor thirteen years ago, and has released three albums since the show.
