Tellier, who attended the aforementioned institution in Selma, Alabama, suffered a brain injury during the third quarter of his school’s opener against Southern Academy and had to be airlifted from Vaughan Regional Medical Center to the University of Alabama-Birmingham Medical Center given his condition.
His parents have confirmed his passing in a statement shared by WVUA’s Gary L. Harris.
“Our boy, Caden Tellier has met Jesus face to face,” the statement reads. “We appreciate all of your prayers and we covet them for the hard days ahead. Everyone who knows Caden has known kindness, generosity and love, and true to his nature, he is giving of himself one more time.
“Lives have been touched by the way he lived and now lives will be saved through his passing. We will walk out these next few days alongside him in his earthly body knowing that his spirit is rejoicing in heaven. Arrangements for a service will be made soon.”
Caden Tellier Was A Huge Fan Of The Alabama College Football Program
Caden Tellier was a huge Crimson Tide fan and owned an A.J. McCarron NFL jersey. McCarron, who’s now with the St. Louis Battlehawks, is a three-time BCS National Champion with Alabama and was a First-Team All-American in 2013.
He had stints with multiple NFL teams, including the Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, Las Vegas Raiders, Houston Texans, and Atlanta Falcons.
This is indeed a terrible circumstance for the youngster’s family, and we hope they can find some form of solace amid this unfortunate turn of events.
R.I.P., Caden Tellier.
