Paul George is looking forward to seeing Lebron James play alongside Bronny James with the Los Angeles Lakers.

During the latest episode of Podcast P with Paul George, the new Philadelphia 76ers forward addressed the Lakers’ second-round selection of the younger James in the 2024 NBA Draft and believes the opportunity for James to become the first player to share a court with his son as an incredible one.

“That’s dope,” George said. “Like ‘I get to play with my son’, and as big as his legacy is, that is part of his legacy too.”

The Lakers took Bronny James with the 55th pick in the Draft after he averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 25 games for USC in 2023-24.

While these numbers don’t jump off the page, he did have his preseason interrupted by a cardiac arrest episode.

He will now join a Lakers team that went 47-35 in 2023-24 and fell to the Denver Nuggets in the first round.

This led to the firing of head coach Darvin Ham and the eventual hiring of J.J. Redick as the new head coach.

Bronny James will likely have a year focused on learning and growing while his father will hope to chase another championship before officially calling it a career.

Still, the two will inevitably share the court at some point, assuming LeBron James does re-sign with Los Angeles, and that moment will be something to watch.
