NBA superstar LeBron James has been in the spotlight after the Los Angeles Lakers’ first-round playoff exit to the Denver Nuggets. However, this time, the 38-year-old small forward has caught the attention for an ‘illegal’ reason.

James, who is enjoying his offseason by watching his son, Bryce James, playing in the Nike EYBL tournament from the front row, was caught using an illegal stream to watch an NBA game.

On Friday, James attended the EYBL tournament to support Team Strive For Greatness. During the match, some fans recorded LeBron, who was sitting courtside, trying to watch the Mavericks vs Wolves NBA Playoff game on StreamEast.

Notably, StreamEast does not have an official license to stream the NBA game. The site is popular for providing streams of sporting events like basketball, baseball and others without a license.

Afraid Fans Lose Calm After LeBron’s Blunder

The fans on social media lost their calm and expressed their frustrations with LeBron for putting StreamEast on the radar, which could lead to the website’s ban.

LeBron James Likely to Stay With Lakers for Next Season

Despite a few rumor mills claiming LeBron James’ departure from the Lakers, NBA insider Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports has reported that there is no indication that the Lakers’ star is targeting a move away.

“LeBron James can enter the open market if he declines his 2024-25 player option, and the Sixers did secure a meeting with James in 2018, before the all-time great joined the Lakers in free agency,” Fischer wrote.

“And yet, there’s been no indication from league personnel with knowledge of the situation that James will truly entertain fleeing Los Angeles”, he further added.

Notably, LeBron can become a free agent this summer if he declines his 2024-25 player option. Few reports have claimed that the 38-year-old is planning a move away in order to get a chance to play alongside his son, Bronny James, who will be in 2024 NBA Draft next month.
