Former NBA Champ Shaquille O'Neal Issues Public Apology to Drake for Social Media MisstepShaquille O’Neal (Image Source: YouTube/ The Big Podcast With Shaq)

Former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal apologized to rapper Drake after tweeting a morphed photo of the two on a boat.

O’Neal shared a doctored photo of him and Drake in a bathing suit by the boat, with Metro Boomin’s BBL Drizzy playing in the background.

The photo circulated on social media this week, but O’Neal wanted to emphasize that he had nothing to do with it and apologized to Drake.

He acknowledged that it was an amusing image but made it clear that he wasn’t responsible for its creation.

Let me apologize real quick. I sent out a picture the other day. The mistake I made was, I should have said, ‘Who did this?’ Because I want Drake to know…Listen, Drake has a great sense of humor, so I thoughts it was funny that they did it. I don’t want him to think, like I saw, ‘Shaq’s trolling.’ No, I’m not trolling. I didn’t photoshop it. Somebody photoshopped it, and I actually saw it”, Shaq said.

He added, “So Drake, I apologize, I should have put ‘Who was this?’ on there because I don’t want you to think I did that. Somebody sent it to me. I thought it was funny and hopefully you thought it was funny, too.”

Shaquille O’Neal Dominates NBA Circles on Social Media

Shaquille O’Neal has some of the most active social media accounts in the NBA circles. Shaq has used social media to communicate that he is one of the funniest and most entertaining players in NBA history. He removed the photo of him with Drake, but it was still humorous.

During his fantastic tenure with Inside The NBA, Shaq has further solidified his legendary legacy as an analyst. Shaquille O’Neal was a great addition to the panel and had incredible chemistry with Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, and Charles Barkley. Sadly, it appears that their time together is coming to an end.

Given that Drake and Kendrick Lamar have been at odds for several months, this should be a more significant cause for Drake’s ire than the picture of Shaq.
