In the midst of preparations for the Paris Olympics, Team USA was treated to a visit from Barack Obama.

The former President of the United States took the opportunity to send a message to Steve Kerr’s men that Stephen Curry reported.

In view of the upcoming Olympic Games, the United States national team continues its preparation.

This was also the scene a few days ago of an impromptu visit, namely that of Barack Obama.

As a former university basketball player and friend of some of the team’s players, including Stephen Curry , the 44th American president was warmly welcomed by the entire squad and staff:

Steph Curry reveals Barack Obama’s message for Team USA

After the fiasco of the last World Cup, which they finished in 4th place, the Americans have almost completely reshuffled their roster in order to win gold at the Paris Olympics.

A major mission for which Barack Obama has therefore taken it upon himself to give them his support a few hours ago with a very specific message, the content of which Curry agreed to reveal in a press conference:

Stephen Curry: He told us that we have to work hard to represent our country in the best way possible.

This is a great opportunity that we have because sports have the power to bring people together.

We have the opportunity to do something special and inspiring. We strive for excellence.

He wants us to win because that’s what America is known for around the world.

If it wasn’t already clear, the Chef and his teammates will therefore be heading to France with great determination this summer.

Barack Obama, for his part, expects great things from them, as he made known on Tuesday:

Barack Obama: I have every confidence that they will bring home the gold and that they will represent us well around the world.

I just wanted to show them my support before they fly away. But I also want to thank the legends who have represented American basketball and the United States for 50 years.

Suffice to say that the former head of state should closely follow the performances of Steph and his ilk, he who has always been a big basketball fan.

A Bulls fan, he even once played a secret match with… Joakim Noah, who then allegedly behaved in a crazy way .

Unless he is likely to be able to travel to France in the coming weeks, Barack Obama went to the Team USA camp to remind them of the magnitude of their mission at the Olympic Games. A message that was clearly well received by Stephen Curry.
