On the first night of the 2024 NBA Draft, Kyle Filipowski was spotted having an emotional moment with his girlfriend, Caitlin Hutchison, after not getting drafted in round one.

However, night two proved to be the happier one for the 7-footer as he got the 32nd spot and was selected by the Utah Jazz.

But the night didn’t end well for the newly added NBA player as things about his personal life were all over social media.

Following his viral video with Hutchison, Filipowski’s brother Daniel and mother Becky made allegations about his girlfriend for brainwashing the offensive center.

Daniel wrote on X (FKA Twitter), “I’m Kyle’s oldest brother..you all don’t have a clue of the extent of the story that has to do with his girlfriend. There’s a story that has been pushed under the table for nearly two years now.” This was followed by other statements where he claimed Hutchison, who was older than the 20-year-old, was “grooming and brainwashing” him.

The former Duke star’s mother then added how his girlfriend wanted to get engaged to him when he was in high school while she was 28.

Becky stated, “You are opening a two-year issue…and she is 28 with an endgame 3 years ago to have a diamond ring on her hand when Kyle left Duke. HE WAS STILL IN HS”

The chapter didn’t end there. His brother had a lot more to say about the matter.

Kyle Filipowski’s Brother Clarifies His Accusations

To bring the true colors of Hutchison in front of everyone, Filipowski’s brother Daniel spilled out secrets of the past.

Daniel wrote in one of the posts, “She forced him to cut us off from his life almost two years ago. Sent us an email and everything. Basically the official ‘goodbye letter’.”

What Filipowski’s family didn’t realise is how their truth on social media could impact the newly drafted NBA player. There hadn’t been any reaction from him or his girlfriend, but the words had certainly reached them.

For now, Filipowski deserves to enjoy his big moment with his loved ones and prepare himself for what’s coming next in his NBA career.
