Even among NBA players, the GOAT debate can sometimes turn into a particularly heated discussion. Proof by being the last outing of Nate Robinson, the dunking elf smashing LeBron James by comparing him to Michael Jordan…

LeBron James or Michael Jordan? The King or His Airness? Suffice to say that while the first has just crossed the 40,000 points mark in the regular season, the debate still rages among fans, the media and even the players.

Guest of Udonis Haslem’s podcast, Michael Beasley, for example, ruled in favor of the King:

Who is my best all-time player? Lebron. And I can give you a very convincing argument: if we had here every player in the history of statistics, he could be the best point guard, guard, winger, even substitute, coach, yeah you can put this man’s statistics and he can be the best in every position. With no disrespect to Jordan fans, they are clinging to the past.

Nate Robinson takes the cash in the GOAT debate

In terms of versatility and statistical production, it is indeed difficult to do much better than Bron who is incidentally the only player in history to accumulate so many points as well as more than 10,000 rebounds and 10,000 assists.

But that doesn’t go over well with Jordan fans, starting with Nate Robinson. The former Knicks elf thus began to demolish Beasley for his comments, on Instagram:

Dude stop smoking weed, if we say Jordan is the best it’s because we have eyes and we can see his game is better.

We know you’re LeBron fans and that’s okay, but JO made everyone want to be like Mike and wear his shoes lol, I’ve never seen anyone wear the shoes yet of LeBron with jeans or classic clothes lol

Clearly, the three-time winner of the dunk contest had a lot on his plate… Note also that B-Eazy responded immediately with a wink towards his defeat in boxing against Jake Paul:

Ouch, I thought we were friends, I understand that people might not agree with me. But this tackle hurts more than seeing you get knocked out on TV

Michael Jordan has left his mark on entire generations on and off the NBA floor and it is for this reason that Nate Robinson considers him the greatest player in history. Suffice to say that he is not close to agreeing with Michael Beasley…
