LeBron James, Michael Jordan and Bronny James

While Bronny James is a Laker for several years thanks to his first NBA contract, this move has not pleased the fans. A former player even cracked by attacking LeBron James and Rich Paul.

As expected for some time, the Lakers have indeed chosen Bronny James in the draft in 55th position. A great moment for the player, especially after a lot of struggles and health concerns.

He intends to prove that he deserves his place in the NBA, even if according to Adrian Wojnarowski, LeBron’s son should spend a good part of his time in the G-League .

This is probably the best thing for the player’s development.

His potential is interesting, perhaps enough to stay in the NBA for a while, but the Lakers do not have time to develop players in a season where every win counts.

That is why this recruit is questionable, with some accusing the James family and the Lakers of nepotism.

LeBron James and Rich Paul badly attacked

Did Bronny get special treatment? It would be hard to answer “no” to that question.

Not only was he drafted by the Los Angeles, he already has a multi-year guaranteed contract, which is not the case for his fellow second-rounders.

For former NBA player Steven Hunter, who played for the 76ers and Suns, that is a shame.

Steven Hunter : “For those who don’t know… players selected late in the second round don’t get guaranteed contracts (especially before Summer League). They typically don’t get a guaranteed 4 year contract on a roster either. It’s not deserved I’m sorry…

This is a blatant abuse of power by LeBron James and Rich Paul. It’s a slap in the face to all these kids fighting to make it to the league. It’s a Hollywood move like this that has a lot of people upset about LeBron.”

“That’s why most people prefer Kobe or Michael Jordan over him. At least they’re direct. Trust me, MJ could have had one of his sons in the NBA if he chose to abuse his power like that…

But he didn’t because MJ prefers it to be earned and not given. He would never have given his son that feeling while LeBron did that with Bronny.”

A hell of a tackle for Bronny and LeBron James, and probably not the last when we know that this saga is annoying. Does the King’s son deserve to join the NBA? Probably. But the way in which all this happens is far from unanimous.
