Team USA got another dominant win in their third Paris Olympic showdown against Team Puerto Rico. Among the star-studded lineup of Team USA, Anthony Edwards came out as the Superman, helping Team USA achieve the best point differential in the opening round.

During Team USA’s game against Puerto Rico in the Paris Olympics, Anthony Edwards’ athleticism was on full display, especially his crazy dunk. The Minnesota Timberwolves star delivered a highlight-reel moment with a stunning windmill dunk.

Edwards’s crazy and superb dunk even left Puerto Rico’s coach, Nelson Colon, visibly startled. The electrifying play was key in the fourth quarter of Team USA’s 104-83 victory.

Throughout the game, the NBA superstar displayed his offensive versatility with impressive at-rim finishes and strong defensive plays. He ended the game by scoring 26 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and shooting 11-of-15 from the field.

Anthony Edwards Opens Up About His Jaw-Dropping Dunk Against Puerto Rico

Following the win against Team Puerto Rico, Anthony Edwards opened up about his show-stopping dunk. His determination and confidence were clear as he described his mindset before the dunk.

I had already told KD after the timeout, ‘Bro, if I get a break, I’m going to windmill it,’” Edwards said.

Though it is Edwards’ first Olympic appearance, he never failed to showcase less confidence than other veteran players on the team.

I wanted to go between my legs, but I haven’t tried it in a minute, so I didn’t want to embarrass myself. I’ve been waiting. I want to dunk on somebody, but I haven’t got a line yet, so I’m glad I got that one,” he added with a laugh.

The U.S. men’s basketball team is now set to play against Brazil in the quarterfinals on August 6.
