Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are set to do battle in the WNBA on Sunday afternoon.

The Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky are about to tip off on CBS. It’s the second WNBA meeting for the two former women’s college basketball stars.

While Clark and Reese had a big rivalry in the college basketball world – and it’s a rivalry that has moved into the WNBA – there is still great respect between the two players.

But Clark’s boyfriend, former Iowa Hawkeyes men’s basketball player Connor McCaffery, doesn’t appear to be a fan of Reese. He has liked anti-Reese messages on social media.

“Clark Boyfriend has been liking hate tweets about Angel Reese since last year and now her Brother on this app liking hate tweets about her as well but y’all swear Angel is the problem and that she has a “one sided” beef with Clark tho,” one fan wrote.

“Like get serious,” the fan added, showing off screenshots of the liked messages.

The two players, meanwhile, have kept it pretty classy.

“Me and Caitlin Clark don’t hate each other,” she said. “I want everybody to understand that.

It’s just a super-competitive game. Once I get between those lines, there’s no friends.

I’m going to talk trash to you. I’m going to do whatever it takes to get in your head the whole entire game, but after the game, we can kick it. I don’t think people really realize that.”
