Angel Reese speaks out about the terrible decline of Chicago Sky: “Yeah, it’s tough. It’s tough because…

Angel Reese is not happy with all the losing the Chicago Sky are experiencing recently.

Having said that, she wants the team to reflect on their struggles and find a solution to their concerning slump.

Reese shared as much in her postgame presser after the Sky suffered an 89-80 loss against the Atlanta Dream on Saturday, noting that “we internally have to look ourselves in the mirror and figure out what we need to change quickly.”

“Yeah, it’s tough. It’s tough because I hate losing, and I try to go out there every night and try to be as consistent as I can,” Reese said of the Sky’s ugly skid, per Chris Smith of ClutchPoints.

Chicago has lost three of its last four games, with their only victory in that span coming against the Washington Mystics.

“I think having consistency 1 through 12 is important from the jump ball to the end. It’s not the coaches or the other team, it’s us,” she added.

Angel Reese impressed in the showdown with the Dream, as she finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds and five steals–becoming just the third player in league history with at least 10 points, 10 rebounds and five steals in back-to-back games. Unfortunately, her efforts went for naught.

The Chi Barbie certainly has every reason to be frustrated with their performance. But the good thing is they are well aware of their shortcomings.

Hopefully, the Sky can bounce back the next time out. They play the Connecticut Sun next on Wednesday, June 12.
