Given his fame in the United States, which he built on the NBA courts, Tony Parker has had the chance to rub shoulders with a good number of US celebrities. Among them is Lady Gaga, who has frankly revealed her opinion on the legendary French point guard.

Arriving in the United States as a mere 28th pick in the Draft, he was able to settle there in relative discretion.

However, over the years, Tony Parker has become a real public figure thanks to his glorious results with the Spurs.

Four-time NBA champion, MVP of the 2007 Finals and six-time All-Star, he has thus crossed the boundaries of his sport and developed strong ties with other US personalities.

Lady Gaga’s Strong Words About Tony Parker

In addition to the famous couple he formed for a few years with the famous actress from Desperate Housewives , Eva Longoria, Parker had the opportunity to meet other stars of American show business during his NBA career.

During a European tour with the Spurs in 2014, for example, he met a certain… Lady Gaga in Berlin, who was very happy to pose alongside him:

Lady Gaga: What a joy when Tony Parker comes to see you. He was such a gentleman! We all laughed a lot and he told us incredible stories. A champion both on and off the field! Thank you for this moment, have a good season guys!

Freshly crowned with his fourth championship title, TP9 was therefore able to proudly show it off in front of the international pop star.

All the more so knowing that he had gone to one of his concerts in San Antonio a few months earlier, proof of the mutual respect that reigned during this meeting.

A respect that the former leader of the Blues later transcribed in the “TP Show” on the airwaves of RMC :

Tony Parker: She was the one who asked to meet me after the game. I was really happy to talk with her and her group of about ten people.

We talked about what she does, what I do, the comparison between an artist and an athlete… It was really nice to see her being a fan of the Spurs and Tony Parker.

It remains to be seen whether the New York native still supports the Spurs, or whether her interest in the franchise has faded following the departure of her French favorite.

Present in Berlin at the same time as Tony Parker and the Spurs in October 2014, Lady Gaga made sure to immortalize their meeting and express her joy. A feeling shared by the French star, also a fan of the artist’s work.
