But despite their recent trading of verbal insults online, Davis has named Mayweather on his prestigious boxing Mount Rushmore.

He named the 50-0 undefeated legend alongside heavyweight icons Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali.

‘Money’ led as the face of boxing in the modern era, fighting in the highest-grossing and biggest viewed events in the current century.

The brash-talking star won 15 major world titles from super-featherweight to super-welterweight, before retiring in 2017 after his huge $130 million fight with UFC superstar Conor McGregor.

In his most famous battle, Mayweather took on Filipino legend and long-term rival Manny Pacquiao in 2015, an event which sold 4.4 million pay-per-view units and generated over $400 million in revenue.

Mayweather and Davis’ split was initially on good terms, but the pair have argued ever since the champion’s win over Garcia.

Tyson equally became a superstar of the sweet science, reigning as an undisputed heavyweight world champion when reaching the pinnacle of his career.

The ferocious puncher fought a raft of his fellow greats including Lennox Lewis, Larry Holmes and most notably two-time rival Evander Holyfield.

Ali is widely considered the greatest to have ever done it

He is widely regarded as one of the greatest to ever compete, and retired in 2005 with an incredible legacy particularly in the US.

But ‘Iron Mike’ is still involved in the sport and will remarkably compete aged 58 in a professional bout with Jake Paul on November 15.

Ali is arguably the greatest of them all, inspiring people inside and outside of the ring during his historic heavyweight career.

He held the undisputed championship during his lofty heights from 1974 to 1978, mixing it with some of the best including against Joe Frazier, Sonny Liston and Ken Norton.

His career highlight came in his ‘Rumble In The Jungle’ showdown with George Foreman in 1971, which saw Ali stop his rival with one billion people estimated to have watched the historic event.

Davis himself is on a path to greatness and has become a huge PPV star around the globe.

The 29-year-old modelled his style on the retired Mayweather while training in his gym, and currently has 29 wins without defeat.

‘Tank’ has become a speed-driven KO artist, and in his most high-profile win wiped out fellow leading contender Ryan Garcia in 2023.

He will next take on Frank Martin as he looks to continue his lightweight journey this weekend.
