Confident he’ll knock out Paul
Mike Perry is all set to take on Jake Paul, vowing to give him a memorable beating. Originally, Jake Paul was scheduled to fight Mike Tyson on July 10. However, after Tyson experienced a medical emergency on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles, their fight was rescheduled to November and this led to the arrangement of the Perry vs. Paul fight.
During an appearance on the “TMZ Sports” TV show, the 32-year-old Perry expressed his readiness and revealed the intense rivalry with the 27-year-old Paul ahead of their boxing match.
Jake Paul faces allegations regarding physique ahead of Mike Tyson Bout
“F*** Jake, bro,” Perry said.
“We’ve never been friends. He’s never been cool with me, he wanted to beat me up, and he’s a sneaky little snake, and I’m gonna f****** knock the teeth out of his mouth. F*** him. F*** you, Jake. I’ll beat your ass, bitch.”
Since leaving the UFC, Perry has joined the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), where he has become the league’s biggest star with an undefeated record of 5-0. His victories include notable names such as Luke Rockhold and Michael “Venom” Page.
Confident he’ll beat Paul
Perry had initially wanted to challenge Paul in a bare-knuckle fight, but Paul declined that format. The two fighters have some history, having briefly trained together years ago.
Although Perry doesn’t believe he gleaned much from their sparring session, he noted that Paul‘s right hand could be dangerous.
Nevertheless, Perry is confident in his abilities and predicts he will knock out Paul by the seventh round.
“I know his right hand,” Perry noted.
“I understood it back then when he hit me with it; that’s his little thing, and I get it. I got a couple of shots that I’m really good at, too. We’re both in for a battle. It’s gonna be a fight, and it’s gonna be a test of wills.”
“If he’s putting pressure on me to try and get me out of there, I’ll get him out of there quicker. When it comes to adrenaline, and that July 20th night, I’m gonna be a problem for anyone on this planet.”
