Eddie Hearn believes Jake Paul will comfortably beat Mike Perry.

YouTube star Paul will next take on ex-UFC and current BKFC star Perry on July 20, after selecting him as a replacement for Mike Tyson as he was forced to withdraw.

Perry has never fought in the traditional boxing ranks, and previously has fought at middleweight and welterweight during his prominence in combat sports.

It is expected the fight will be around 200lbs, which is a huge leap in weight, and Hearn has suggested it will be impossible to overcome for ‘Platinum’.

“I’ve never seen Mike Perry fight,” Hearn said on the MMA Hour. “Isn’t he a welterweight or something?”

“Two hundred pounds? He’s got absolutely no chance.

“Look, I don’t know Mike Perry, but I know apparently he’s a tough man. Obviously, he is a tough man, so I wish him all the best.

“You told me Francis Ngannou would beat Anthony Joshua, so stop falling in love with UFC fighters.”

Paul bulked up to natural heavyweight size in preparation for Tyson, and has suggested he is feeling better than ever.

It will be a notable size difference, but Perry has become known for absorbing powerful shots during his career and will not be intimidated by any increased power.

The 26-year-old influencer will still face Tyson at a later date of November 15, and Perry will be hoping to derail the clash.

The pair have already come face-to-face including in a sparring session before Paul’s win over Ben Askren in 2021.

In a recent interview, the pair clashed and Perry insisted he would be the one to bring down a curtain on Paul’s boxing career.

And the 9-1 boxer has agreed that taking on Perry is a huge risk given his background.

He said: “This guy is a f*****g lunatic. He’s undefeated in bare-knuckle, which is probably the craziest sport in the world.

“Not to mention, this fight has been brewing for years.

“I think this fight is going to have some amazing press conference moments and really entertaining stuff that comes from it, but it is a major risk.

“I’m literally potentially sacrificing the biggest moment of my career, the biggest payday of my career if I lose to Mike Perry.

“But for some reason, these are the positions that I like to put myself in.”
