‘Iron’ Mike Tyson and Jake Paul have both had their say after it was announced that their postponed fight will now take place on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson have both vowed to knock the other out after their fight was rescheduled for November 15.

Tyson, a former heavyweight champion and legend of the sport, was scheduled to clash with the YouTuber-turned boxer on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, only for the controversial fight to be postponed after the 57-year-old suffered a health scare. Despite an ulcer flare-up, Tyson insisted that he was in good health amid external concerns and called for the fight to be rescheduled.

And while there were some who believe the fight should never have been signed off in the first place, it was confirmed on Friday that the event will still be going ahead, albeit at a later date. Nakisa Bidarian, Co-Founder of Most Valuable Promotions said: “Our team has worked diligently with all parties involved to reschedule this monumental fight to a date that ensures both Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are fully prepared, with equal training time, as well as allowing us to keep the event at AT&T stadium in the midst of the Cowboys season.”

Tyson then outlined that he will resume his training regime shortly before declaring that Paul, 27, would be knocked out on their rescheduled date in Texas. He added: “Although we had to postpone the fight, I will resume training shortly. I am thankful to the medical staff that treated me and to MVP, Netflix, and AT&T Stadium for working diligently to find the best reschedule date for all parties. While we have a new date, the result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is getting knocked out. On Friday, November 15, watch this in-person at AT&T Stadium or live on Netflix.”

Paul, who previously vowed to KO Tyson when they met, echoed similar sentiments to the boxing legend with a social media post plugging the new fight date. Alongside a poster featuring himself and Tyson on the X platform, Paul wrote: “New date, same place, same fate.”

The undercard for the originally scheduled date will also now take place on November 15 instead of next month. That includes an eagerly anticipated rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano and a fight between former UFC star Darren Till and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Tyson has not fought professionally in 19 years and will be 58 when he takes to the ring to face Paul. The latter has been inactive since beating Ryan Bourland via first round stoppage in March.

Despite the controversy surrounding the fight, and some brash claims in the build-up to the original date, Paul wished Tyson well following his recent health scare and insisted he wanted to face the legend at his best. He said: “Love that guy, so much respect for him and I want Mike to be healthy. He still says he’s going to knock me out and I bought myself some time so Mike is still talking s*** over there.”
