Meghan Markle isnât daddyâs little girl anymore.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, and her estranged dad, Thomas Markle, still have some major âunresolvedâ problems with each other.
According to relationship expert Louella Alderson, the pair donât have an easy bond anymore and their relationship âcould very well be beyond repair.â
Thomas and his daughterâs bond has been strained since she married Prince Harry in 2018, despite being close in her early years.
The 79-year-old recently made comments about the royal feud presented in Omid Scobieâs book âEndgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchyâs Fight for Survivalâ â where members of the Firm allegedly made comments about how dark Markleâs sonâs skin color would be when he was born.
âThe fact that Harry and Meghan have not publicly distanced themselves from this strikes me as unusual,â Thomas told the Daily Mail earlier this week when he was asked about âEndgame.â
Alderson told the Mirror that Thomasâ association with Meghan will probably be done for good after his recent comments.
Thomas Markle and Meghan have been estranged since 2018.?????????????
âItâs unlikely they will be able to mend their relationship anytime soon if Thomas Markle keeps sharing private information,â she said.
âThere have been multiple instances of betrayal and hurt between them,â Alderson explained.
Nevertheless, she wouldnât be surprised if their relationship took an âunexpected turnâ in the opposite direction.
Their bond has potential to âmend and heal over time,â however, it really depends on both âbeing willing to put in effort and work towards reconciliation.â

She added: âIt would take a lot of forgiveness and understanding from Meghan to repair her relationship with her father, and itâs unclear if she is ready or willing to do so at this point.â
Alderson then warned: âIf Thomas continues to publicly speak out against his daughter without any remorse or understanding of how his actions may have hurt her, then itâs unlikely their relationship will be repaired.â

âIâm heartbroken. I am very upset. This is a cruel thing to do to a grandparent, to deny the right to see a grandchild,â he said on âGood Morning Britain.â
âThereâs no excuse for treating me this way, no excuse to treat grandparents that way,â he continued. âMeghan lived with me from sixth grade to high school, and I never saw anything like that. I never saw the kind of woman she turned into. I am shocked. She is not the person I knew as my daughter.â
