Angel Reese ‘trash’ fight reportedly omitted from LSU’s Kim Mulkey WaPo profile

WNBA rookie Angel Reese has been phenomenal for the Chicago Sky all season, with one major stat that stands out from the rest.

Reese leads the WNBA in average offensive rebounds with 4.9 through the Sky’s 5-9 season.

According to StatMamba on X, she would still lead the league in offensive rebounds, even if rebounds off an own missed shot weren’t recorded.

Reese is currently the only rookie in the league averaging a double-double, posting 12.4 points and 10.8 rebounds.

She’s No. 1 in terms of offensive rebounding and No. 2 in total rebounds, trailing Las Vegas Aces superstar A’ja Wilson with 11.6.

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese (5) looks for an open teammate on Sunday June 16, 2024, during the game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Fever beat the Sky 91-83.

Reese has been a solid starter for the Sky, earning the title as their best two-way player on the roster.

She’s brought tenacity and grit on both ends of the floor that’s helped her thrive in her rookie year.

The No. 7 pick from the 2024 WNBA draft will welcome the No. 1 pick, Caitlin Clark, as Chicago hosts the Indiana Fever on Sunday.

Reese is 0-2 against Clark during her professional career, but she’ll finally have homecourt advantage in the series.
