Angel Reese Accuses Caitlin Clark Of Getting Preferential Treatment

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever topped Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky for the second time this season.

The Fever, led by Clark – who had arguably the best game of her WNBA career – topped Reese and the Sky in a tightly-contested game on Sunday.

Reese had foul trouble on Sunday and was called for a flagrant foul for a hit on Clark in the second half. She wasn’t happy about the call, though.

“It was a basketball play. I can’t control the refs. They affected the game obviously a lot today,” she told reporters.

“I’m always going for the ball. Y’all are going to play that clip 20 times before Monday.”

Reese didn’t stop there, though. She accused Clark of getting preferential treatment from the officials.

“I guess some people got a special whistle,” Reese said, referring to the foul calls Clark gets.

Fever head coach Christie Sides, meanwhile, agreed with the foul call. She thought it was the right ruling.

“The right call was made in that moment. … Just make the right call in those moments and we can move forward.

When we don’t make the right call in those moments, that’s when there’s a problem,” she said.
