It is widely anticipated that Tobias Harris and the Philadelphia 76ers will part ways in free agency this offseason, concluding a complex five-and-a-half-year tenure. Brett Siegel from ClutchPoints suggests that these rumors are on the verge of becoming reality.

“Now that it appears as if Harris’ time with the 76ers has come to an end, which is odd considering that he has proven to be one of the better power forwards in the league when you dive into the numbers,” Siegel noted.

Philadelphia acquired Harris from the Los Angeles Clippers at the 2019 trade deadline. In return, the 76ers sent Mike Muscala, Wilson Chandler, Landry Shamet, and several draft picks.

Harris, who had been a key power forward for the Detroit Pistons and the Clippers, struggled to reach the same level of success in Philadelphia. Instead, he often became a scapegoat when the team faced difficulties.

Despite this, Harris remains a valuable player on the market and will likely attract interest from multiple teams once free agency begins. Reports indicate that the San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder, Utah Jazz, and Dallas Mavericks are emerging as potential suitors for Harris. The Houston Pistons are also rumored to be a potential suitor for Harris.

Tobias Harris’ Stats With the Philadelphia 76ers

During his more than five-year tenure with the 76ers, Tobias Harris averaged 17.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. His shooting percentages were also notable, hitting 48.8% from the floor and 36.9% from three-point range.

However, Harris’ performance in the playoffs raised concerns. Although his averages of 16.4 points and 8.1 rebounds over 57 postseason games are respectable, his shooting percentages dipped compared to the regular season.

Despite these playoff challenges, Harris’ durability has been a significant asset for the 76ers. He ranks inside the top 10 in games played and total minutes over the past five seasons.

Harris will likely find a new home in the upcoming offseason, ending his eventful stint with the 76ers. Although his tenure in Philadelphia may have had its ups and downs, his overall performance and durability ensure he will continue to be a sought-after player in the NBA.
