Khloe Kardashian revealed that she made ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson take three paternity tests in order to determine if he was the father of their son, Tatum.

Khloe Kardashian had her doubts as to whether Tristan Thompson was the father of their son, Tatum. The reality star divulged that she had her ex-boyfriend take three paternity tests for their second child, who was born via surrogate.

On the latest episode of the “SHE MD” podcast with Dr. Thais Aliabadi and Mary Alice Haney, Kardashian revealed that Thompson was emotionally hurt when she repeatedly questioned if he was the legitimate father of their kid. “I made Tristan do three DNA tests for Tatum. He was so offended,” she said.

Kardashian’s doubts arose from her belief that Tatum “doesn’t look like” Thompson or herself. Due to the boy’s uncanny resemblance to her brother, Rob Kardashian, she wondered if her sibling could be the father.

“My son looks just like my brother, and my brother’s one of my favorite people,” Kardashian said. “Because he was an IVF baby or a surrogate baby, I was like, ‘Rob, have you ever donated sperm somewhere?’

“In this family, that would not surprise me, but that would be so disgusting,” she added. “But I remember she [her doctor] was like, ‘You’ve already done a DNA test!’ I go, ‘I need to do another one, I need to figure it out.’”

According to Kardashian, Tatum’s looks and demeanor are also strikingly similar to those of her late father, Robert. “My son’s a year-and-a-half, and he’s sarcastic, and my dad had a really dry, silly, just crazy sense of humor, and there’s glimmers of my dad in Tatum, and I’m like this is so freaking weird, but it’s just how God works, and I love it,” she said.

Back in November 2021, Kardashian and Thompson opted to transfer their embryos to a surrogate mother. Just several weeks later, the Good American founder discovered that the Cleveland Cavaliers star was expecting another child with a different woman.

Once news of Thompson’s other paternity test broke, Kardashian felt defenseless from the wave of backlash and media attention directed her way. “It devastated me, because that’s when all the judgment and the knives were thrown at me.”

Though Kardashian is no longer with Thompson following a myriad of scandals, the 39-year-old insisted there was no bad blood between the two.  “My ex, Tristan, is an incredible father. I don’t want this to be a bashing thing,” she said.

“He made [a] mistake, but he’s the nicest guy. And we get along so well now. We’re not meant to be together, but he was meant to be the father of these kids. I’ve seen some other fathers that are not great fathers, and I’m very grateful that I have one that wants to be in their lives, that’s active every single day even though he doesn’t live here full time.”
