Travis Kelce rocks very bold red suit for Chiefs’ Super Bowl ring ceremony

The Kansas City Chiefs star arrived at the team’s second consecutive Super Bowl ring ceremony in a bold red suit.

‘Smooth operator baby,’ the tight end was heard saying as he walked down the red carpet at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art Thursday night.

When asked what inspired the ensemble, he responded, ‘Chiefs Kingdom, baby,’ per reporter Matt Derrick.

Fans would be forgiven if they thought Kelce had taken a page out of his girlfriend Taylor Swift‘s book, who became synonymous with the color red after dropping an album of the same name in 2012.

The athlete completed the look, which featured a suede blazer and matching trousers, with a white tank top, crisp white sneakers and some ‘TK’ bling around his neck.

Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany also got the red memo.

She opted for an off-the-shoulder gown, adorned with bright red tassel detailing.

Her husband looked equally glam in a black suit jacket which was bedazzled with black stones.

The quarterback accessorized even further with a stack of silver necklaces and a matching chain bracelet.

Gracie Hunt, the daughter of Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, gave fans a peek inside the event, which featured larger-than-life Lombardi Trophy statues and a glamorous table-scape with red detailing.

Andy Reid’s team are set to unveil their second straight championship ring at the glitzy event, which comes four months after their win over the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas.

Just hours before things got underway, Kelce built anticipation in a teaser video shared by the Chiefs on social media.

The legendary tight end was seen holding three fingers aloft – to mark the third Super Bowl win of his career – while pointing to his ring finger.

Whether intentional or not, Swift’s legion of fans thought the clip was a cheeky nod to engagement rumors swirling around the couple.
