50 Cent recently expressed gratitude towards Eminem after their collaborative performance at the Super Bowl LVI Pepsi Halftime Show earned multiple Emmy Awards. The star-studded Hip Hop extravaganza, which also featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige, garnered three awards at the 2022 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Variety Special (Live), Outstanding Music Direction, and Outstanding Production Design for a Variety Special (Area).

Taking to Instagram to celebrate the achievement, 50 Cent acknowledged Eminem’s integral role in making the halftime show a success. Sharing a headline about the Super Bowl’s Emmy wins, 50 Cent praised Eminem, emphasizing their close bond and mutual support. He wrote, “@eminem is the man. He wouldn’t do the show without me, that’s my boy! @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi.”

Earlier in April, N.O.R.E., co-host of Drink Champs, revealed that Eminem insisted on 50 Cent’s participation in the halftime show. According to N.O.R.E., Eminem informed JAY-Z, who played a pivotal role in organizing the event, that he would only perform if 50 Cent was included. Eminem’s insistence on having 50 Cent by his side highlighted their strong camaraderie and shared history in the music industry.

 

Reacting to N.O.R.E.’s revelation, 50 Cent questioned why Eminem needed to advocate for him and took a swipe at JAY-Z, suggesting that the latter’s hairstyle resembled that of a “gay painter.” Furthermore, 50 Cent raised questions about why JAY-Z referred to Eminem as the “white guy” instead of acknowledging his status as one of the biggest rap artists in the world.

 

While 50 Cent expressed gratitude towards Eminem, he found himself in a less gracious mood towards fellow rapper The Game. The ongoing feud between the two was reignited after 50 Cent taunted The Game on Instagram following his Emmy wins. In response, The Game publicly criticized 50 Cent during a live performance, labeling him a “bitch” and expressing his disdain for the rapper.

 

Despite the tensions with The Game, 50 Cent’s acknowledgment of Eminem’s role in the Super Bowl halftime show’s success highlights the importance of collaboration and mutual respect in the world of Hip Hop.
