Beyoncé, her husband Jay-Z, and their kids reportedly celebrated their 42nd birthday at a $20,000-per-night villa on a private island.

The 53-year-old rapper spouse of the “Cuff It” singer rented Mermaid Bay, an affluent cluster of villas located within the ultra-opulent private French Polynesia resort The Brando, according to sources who talked with TMZ for a piece published on Thursday. Insiders claim that Beyoncé’s family and entourage arrived to the house last Tuesday and stayed there until at least Friday. The main house is reportedly reserved for Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and their three kids, Blue Ivy, 11, and the twins, Rumi and Sir, 6, who are said to stay there for about $20,000 a night.

The opulent lodgings at the resort are described on the website as having four bedrooms, a full kitchen, a living room, a private terrace, a private pool, an outdoor dining area, and a personal butler. Meanwhile, the remaining eleven villas, which had one to three bedrooms and private pools, were occupied by the guests of the couple. The website highlights that each house is built responsibly with “natural and contemporary materials” and calls the experience “a new definition of privacy.”
