It’s no secret that today’s most worshipped divas have a thing for sparkly microphones, countless wardrobe changes and bodysuits. Lots and lots of bodysuits.

And nobody’s wearing ’em better than J.Lo and Beyoncé. With both songbirds recently making onstage appearances (J.Lo’s in the Bronx and at the World Cup; Beyoncé’s tour kickoff in Miami), a comparison between their penchant for spandex, cleavage and fishnets was inevitable.

Here, a look-see of all that glitters on these body-licious babes:

Monochromatic Vibes

J.Lo’s Charbel Zoe emerald bodysuit is sexily spliced every which way (side boob? under boob? all-around boob?), and while the spangled tassels are festive enough for her World Cup performance, the embellished hosiery takes her look to an overwhelming place.

Bey’s denim playsuit was custom-built by Diesel; finished with a smattering of Swarovski crystals, studs and distressed trimmings, Queen B ricocheted this true-blue number to epic proportion.

Winner: Bey. For bringing new meaning to the term “Girl Boss.”

J.Lo flaunted her cleavage in a white-hot crystal-appliqued number by Greek designer Celia Kritharioti.Bey followed suit, but kept it (mostly) covered in a custom Atelier Versace bodysuit and matching headpiece trimmed in black sequined netting.

Winner: Bey. Singing alongside her real-life accessory (and hubby) Jay Z pretty much dominates, well, everything. #thesetworuntheworld

J.Lo looks every bit a throwback-cum-glam reboot of Jenny from the Block in this fantastically colored Versus Versace bodysuit with matching gold-trimmed bomber. The giant gold hoops are a perfect touch, too.Bey also leaned on Versace for bold color and print: Her bodysuit is a crazy but killer melting pot of leopard spots, Medusa heads and gold chains.

Winner: J.Lo. Not only does she look fierce, but that ponytail is. So. Fly.

Old School v. New School

J.Lo pretty much killed it when she opened her Bronx show in a throwback Versus Versace palm-print bodysuit that cheekily nodded to that infamous Versace palm-print green dress that stole the show at the 2000 Grammys.Meanwhile, Beyoncé referenced fashion’s current mood in a bondage-inspired bodysuit by Alexander Wang: Complete with a mesh bomber and a little garter-inspired utility belt, it hit all the major trends. Sporty, sexy, chic.
