Taylor Swift has seemingly responded to an allegation that she does not perform her songs live.

Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl made a dig at the singer while speaking about the band’s upcoming tour during a recent concert in London, UK.

Grohl said that this tour would be called ‘The Errors Tour’, in a play on Swift’s ongoing Eras Tour.

But why did the drummer and Foo Fighters frontman choose this name?

Grohl explained and took a jab at Swift in the process, saying it was because the tour would have a “few more eras and more than a few f***ing errors.”

Grohl then added that this was because ‘we actually play live’.

Swift’s fans are known for their unwavering loyalty to the singer, and it’s needless to say that Grohl’s dig at their idol went down about as well as you might expect.

Fans of Swift piled onto social media to share their frustration at the jab.

One said: “It’s all about jealousy. Dave Grohl will never experience the fame and love that Taylor Swift has.”

Another posted: “Love Dave Grohl but come on man don’t be starting with Taylor Swift and the Swifties.”

A third posted: “I don’t why Dave Grohl made the decision to mock Taylor Swift and (falsely) claim she doesn’t play music live, but it was so weird and corny. A rare misstep for a guy who’s known for having his head on right. What a bizarre choice for him to make.”

And now, Swift has also seemingly responded to the allegations.

During a recent concert of her own in London’s Wembley Stadium over the weekend – marking her third show in the UK’s capital – she told fans: “What you just did is an unforgettable moment in not just my life, but every very single one of our crew.

“The band that’s going to be playing live for you for three and a half hours tonight.

“They deserve this so much and so does every one of my fellow performers, and you just gave that to us so generously. We’ll never forget it.”

Other fans took a different view, with one saying: “Saying Dave Grohl has never experienced fame and is jealous of Taylor Swift is either completely ignorant or you’re too young and are extremely uneducated.”

But there was still a lot of support for Swift, with another posting: “It’s always so funny when other musicians slate Taylor Swift when a literal Beatle said she was the most influential artist of contemporary times.

“Dave Grohl knows nothing, and Paul McCartney knows everything.”
