(C)Patrick Mahomes’ career in the NFL has its days numbered, warns his mother, Randi

Patrick Mahomes is in line to be the NFL’s Greatest of All Time (GOAT). The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is in direct competition with the now-retired Tom Brady for the unofficial title. However, time is against him, as his career may not be as long as Brady’s.

In seven years in the NFLMahomes has won the Super Bowl three times, has three records on his resume, and multiple honors and awards. In numerical terms, he is still far from Brady, but his undoubted quality and leadership already place him among the best in history.

Over the years, Mahomes could also reach Brady’s numbers, especially the seven championships in his showcase. Brady achieved it in a 23-year career. Mahomes might not have that much time, warned his mother, Randi Mahomes.

His career could end early

On a recent episode of “The Mom Game Podcast,”Randi corroborated what the Chiefs quarterback once said: that he was willing to hang up his cleats if his career interfered with his family.

“I hear him, you know, make comments like, ‘If the game takes away from my kids, I might not play as long as Tom Brady,’ and I’m like, I’m so proud of him for that,” said Randi Mahomes in the talk with Julie Dobbs and Emily Jones.

Randi, mother of Patrick, Jackson, and Mia, recalled that football was her oldest son’s least favorite sport; there was even a time when he almost quit. However, when he was about to enter college, he decided to continue playing football.

Family comes first for Patrick

Mahomes himself already said in past interviews that his family is above his career. “I’ve looked. If I played until Tom’s age, my daughter would be 19, 20 years old. That would mean missing plenty of youth sporting events and other commitments,” explained the Chiefs signal-caller.

He said he would like to play as many years as Brady did, “At the same time, I want to be there for my daughter. If I can do that, I’ll continue to play. But if I feel like it’s taking away from my family time, that’s when I’ll know it’s time to go.”

Sterling Skye, the Kansas City star’s oldest daughter, is three years old, and his youngest son, Patrick “Bronze,” is about to turn one. Brittany MahomesPatrick’s wife, constantly shares photos of the entire family, which demonstrates the attachment the player feels for all of them.
