Travis Kelce talks about his relationship

The 34-year-old football player participated in the latest podcast episode of Bussin’ with the Boys, which appears to have been filmed before his weekend in London with Taylor.

In the episode, Travis talked about Taylor and their relationship for over 10 minutes!

We’ve recapped everything that Travis about Taylor.

On how his Kansas City Chiefs teammates reacted to the relationship

“Nobody really gave me sh-t, no,” Travis said. “Nobody even really knew what was going on, all over the place. We kind of kept it between us as much as we could. But once she came to a game, obviously it was f–king, it was only poppin’ from there.”

On keeping things private vs. being public

“You want to keep things private, but at the same time, like, I’m not here to hide anything. That’s my girl, you know what I mean? That’s my lady, so it’s like, I’m proud of that,” Travis said. “I’m not sitting here trying to juggle like, ‘how can I keep this under wraps?’ You just don’t want to let everyone into your personal life and be able to comment on it, knowing that everything she does is getting a headline.”

On the most surprising part about dating Taylor Swift

“[Paparazzi] has been the craziest thing,” he said. “Definitely the pulling up to the house, the just random, I don’t know… It’s a different demographic than the NFL, so it’s been cool to dabble in that and see her following and everything. It’s been fun because a lot more kids are into the game and the Chiefs fans have turned into a lot of her fans. And her fans have turned into Chiefs fans, so I’ve had fun with every aspect of it. But when you’re at home, you want privacy, and you don’t always get that.”

On Taylor making sure to let Travis shine in his moments (and how it made him fall for her)

The hosts brought up how Taylor would stand patiently on the sidelines while Travis celebrated his big football wins with his teammates. She never made the moments about herself.

“She’s very self-aware, but at the same time… she’s very self-aware. She understands situations like that and I think that’s why I really started to fall for her, how genuine she is just around friends and family. It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention and she keeps it so chill and so cool and I can admire it for sure,” Travis said.

On Taylor constantly being shown on TV during his games

“The first game she came to against the Bears, I was like, ‘I can probably set you up with everything,’ and she just walked right through the front door. There’s no like going down, talking to security, making sure she [gets to her seats]. She was like, ‘I just want to be around the family and friends and experience this with everybody.’ I was just like, ‘She got points for that.’ She’s in the madness. She wants to be a part of it. She wants to support me and do things like that. She really won me over with that,” he said.

On his three favorite Taylor songs

1. “Blank Space”

Travis said, “I really started listening to Taylor’s music when she came out with 1989. I knew who she was before that. We were the same age so I kind of like, through high school I knew who Taylor was and she was getting her career started. But I think 1989 was where it really started to go crazy. So I’m going to say ‘Blank Space’ because that was like the first one. So I’ll put that one at number one.”

2. “Cruel Summer”

Travis said, “‘Cruel Summer’ is one of the ones she opens with at her show and I was like, when she comes out and it’s just f–king electric in the stadium and then she goes into an absolute banger like that, I was fired up when that happened the first show I was ever at.”

3. “So High School”

Travis said, “It’s got a little bit of a sentimental meaning I guess… ‘You know how to ball, I know Aristotle,’ man.”

On the song “Karma”

When one of the hosts said that his daughter loves the song “Karma,” Travis asked if she knows who “Karma” is.

Travis is referring to Taylor changing a line of the song to, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.”

When asked about the first time that Taylor performed the lyric change, which was when Travis attended the show for the first time after they started dating, he said, “I was like, ‘Oh SH-T.’”

One of the hosts thought the song was about Taylor‘s ex Jake Gyllenhaal and Travis just awkwardly laughed when the name was brought up.
