Jayson Tatum’s 6-year-old son is growing up fast on the NBA court!

In a joint Instagram post from the NBA and Celtics accounts on Friday, June 7, the NBA star, 26, and his son Jayson “Deuce” Christopher Tatum Jr., 6, can be seen recreating the same 3-point play they once shared on the NBA finals court in 2022.

The Instagram Reel starts with a throwback video from the 2022 NBA finals of Deuce at 4 years old passing his dad the ball before his shot swishes into the basket. The Reel then transitions into this year’s finals in the same spot on the court, where a much larger Deuce can be seen bouncing the ball to his dad who, once again, shoots the 3-point shot.

“Father & son, making memories at the Finals!” the sports league and winning team of Thursday night’s finals game captioned the post.

In March, Tatum revealed to PEOPLE that Deuce is already ready to follow in his footsteps.

“He just started playing basketball on the organized team,” Tatum told PEOPLE exclusively while chatting about his new appointment as ambassador of Coach. “So he’s really starting to fall in love with the game. It’s exciting to see that.”

Celtics fans are already familiar with Deuce — who Tatum says also loves Spider-Man (which means he’s a creature of habit!) — because he can often be found on the sidelines at his dad’s NBA games.

Deuce, clad in Celtics green or a mini version of his dad’s jersey, will throw the basketball around (even though it’s as big as he is) and cheer for the Boston team. Tatum told PEOPLE that Deuce even picks out his own outfit for game days, following in his dad’s stylish footsteps.

“His favorite thing is to look in the mirror and be like, ‘Daddy, look, I’m fresh-fresh,’ ” Tatum said. “He says that now that he’s gotten older. His personality is starting to grow. He’s taking more ownership in the things he wants to wear.”
