Nobody can deny that Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have been massive needle movers for the WNBA this season.
These two rookie rivals have brought a ton of attention to the entire sport of women’s basketball ever since their viral moment together during the 2023 NCAA Championship Game.
And that attention has magnified now that they’re both in the WNBA, play in the Eastern Conference, and are having excellent first seasons.
In fact, their impact has been so impressive that even Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky teammates can’t help but praise Clark for her role in growing the women’s game.

When asked about the attention the Sky are receiving right now during a post-practice press conference on Wednesday,
Sky guard Diamond DeShields said, “Obviously our games, especially against [the Indiana Fever], are going to be like that,” per TJ Sports Queens.
“And it’s a credit to the two young players that everyone’s talking about,” DeShields added. “You know, we can’t leave that out. But it’s just a really cool time… to be playing women’s sports in general right now.”
It’s cool to see Reese’s teammates being willing to give Clark her (well-deserved) flowers.
Especially because so many WNBA vets aren’t willing to do so.
