Katherine Renee Kane is set to depart from the CBS drama series FBI during its upcoming seventh season. According to sources, Kane, who portrays Special Agent Tiffany Wallace, will appear in at least one episode before her character exits the show.

Kane joined the cast in the third season, stepping into the role following the departure of Ebonee Noel, who played Special Agent Kristen Chazal. On August 20, Kane released a statement to Deadline regarding her decision to leave: “It was time to look towards new creative endeavors. I’m excited for the future and wish the show all the best.”

In a significant casting update, Lisette Olivera will join the series as a new regular. Olivera will portray Syd, an agent from the Behavioral Analysis Unit transitioning into fieldwork. Syd is set to become the new partner to Special Agent Scola, played by John Boyd, filling the gap left by Kane’s character.

FBI, which wrapped up its sixth season in May, continues to delve into the inner workings of the FBI’s New York field office, focusing on high-stakes investigations aimed at keeping New York City and the nation secure. The series is produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, in association with CBS Studios, and features an ensemble cast including Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, Alana De La Garza, and John Boyd.

The show, created by Dick Wolf, is part of the larger FBI franchise, which includes spinoffs FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International. All three series were renewed by CBS earlier this year, with new seasons set to premiere on October 15. Kane’s exit marks another shift in the show’s lineup as it heads into its seventh season, with fans eager to see how Olivera’s character will integrate into the team.
