“It hurts after we broke up,” Jennifer Lopez, 53, told host Zane Lowe. “When we called off that wedding 20 years ago, it was the biggest pain of my life. To be honest, I felt like I was going to die. That put me in a whirlpool for the next 18 years. But now, 20 years later, we have a happy ending. That’s the end that never happens in Hollywood.”

Jennifer Lopez rekindled her romance with Ben Affleck (50) 17 years after they first broke up – just announced on November 25 that she is releasing a new album called This is Me… Now, an update on her 2002 release, This is Me… Then.

The Let’s Get Loud singer explained, “We grasped this moment when I got back to the love of my life and we decided to be together forever. The whole message of the album is, ‘This love exists. This is a true love'”.

The two stars got engaged for the first time in November 2002, the same month they released the album This is Me… Then. Lopez told Zane Lowe: “Now I think the message of the album is that if you, like me, have lost hope at times, almost given up, don’t. True love always exists and it is true. I want to get that message out to the world.”

In April 2021, Page Six reported that Lopez and Affleck were hanging out together again after she broke up with her ex-fiancé Alex Rodriguez. They got engaged a year later and tied the knot in Las Vegas in July 2022, followed by a solemn ceremony at Affleck’s Georgia estate the following month.
