One Piece 1117 Preview: The Iron Giant Unleashes Its Power

With the break week finally over, One Piece chapter 1117 is just around the corner, and fans are incredibly excited for the Egghead Island Arc to continue. The last chapter of the series felt somewhat short, especially because not much happened in terms of the plot progressing further; however, the upcoming chapter is likely going to be very different and significant, given what the previous one set up.

It can be said that the previous chapter of One Piece was completely a setup chapter and that fans are in for a treat later this week with One Piece 1117.

The Five Elders Face Off Against The Iron Giant

The Five Elders Aim To Stop Vegapunk’s Message

   The most important plot point that will likely be the center of attention in One Piece chapter 1117 is the Five Elders’ battle against the Iron Giant. This battle was set up in the previous chapter when York, one of the Vegapunk satellites, announced that she had finally figured out the location of the transponder snail. According to her, the transponder snail is being protected by the Iron Giant. This also makes a lot of sense, given what fans saw at the beginning of the arc. When Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates stepped foot on Egghead, Vegapunk was introduced, trying to phase out the Iron Giant. It is highly likely that around this time, he was hiding the transponder snail inside this Giant, and things started making quite a lot of sense. Fans know that the priority of the Five Elders is to destroy this transponder snail.

Joy Boy’s enemy was the World Government of the present day! More accurately, it was the precursor to the World Government…A provisional army put together by 20 Kingdoms known as The Alliance!!

   Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates are also going to be central to One Piece chapter 1117. This should not come as a surprise to any fan, given that Oda has been making it quite clear that they are not here to fight, and their main goal is to escape from the island. Luffy has been on the run from Warcury for a few chapters now, at the very least. Meanwhile, a group of the Straw Hat Pirates is already near the ship of the Giants, while the Straw Hat Pirates on the Labophase are ready to make their escape. In One Piece chapter 1117, fans will likely see the Straw Hat Pirates on the Labophase make their jump and land directly in the ocean below.

Of course, they then have to deal with the threat of the Navy, who are openly firing on the Giants’ ship right now, and the Sunny will also be an enemy for them. This is where the likes of Zoro and Usopp will most likely take charge in an attempt to defend the ship. Meanwhile, Nami will find the safest course for the crew to navigate out of the ship’s firing lane, and at the same time, Jinbe will be at the helm, in an attempt to get the ship to safety.

Meanwhile, on the Fabriophase, fans might finally get to see Luffy reach the same place as Sanji as the others. It has been a while since he has been running, and he should be reaching his destination soon enough. With this chapter, the escape of the Straw Hat Pirates will be one step closer and fans will likely get to see it take effect within the next two or three chapters at most. Fans should fully expect the Straw Hats to leave this island soon now, and the Egghead Island arc doesn’t seem like it is going to last too long now.

Another strong possibility for One Piece chapter 1117 is Vegapunk’s message finally wrapping up. This message is going on for quite a bit, and Vegapunk has already revealed everything that he knows about the Void Century. However, there might still be some bits that fans weren’t expecting to be revealed in the next chapter. These bits can be things such as the name of the Ancient Kingdom, along with other information that nobody really expected. The fact is that Vegapunk’s message has still not wrapped up. In the previous chapter, he chastised the Roger Pirates and Joy Boy for different reasons. Now, it is clear that he will be looking to end his message, and One Piece chapter 1117 is likely going to be either the ultimate or the penultimate chapter when it comes to that.

Regardless of whether the message ends or not, One Piece chapter 1117 is going to be absolutely grand in terms of Vegapunk’s message, and it will set up the end of the Egghead Island Arc in an even better fashion. Oda will soon start preparations for Elbaf, which is incredibly exciting.
