The Baltimore Ravens have unveiled a new alternate helmet for the 2024 NFL season and have quickly found out that fans don’t always necessarily rock with whatever gear a team tells them looks good.

Releasing new uniforms has been hit or miss for NFL teams in recent years. A lot of the time, it goes well, but often enough, it’s the cause of rife criticism.

The Ravens posted a new helmet to social media on Tuesday morning. It deviates from the black shells with a raven on the side and is mostly purple with a different logo.

Check it out:

As suggested above, the reception wasn’t all that great.

“Really isn’t much to be excited about. It could’ve been better,” one fan wrote.

“This with white pants would look 🔥….but with the color rush it’s just too much purple. Like the logo though,” said another.

“I hope they mean by alternate . Like once every 10 years .. This sucks in major way,” a third remarked.

“Its not that I dont like the logo, its just that it doesn’t belong on the helmet,” another commented.

A fan suggested: “Y’all shoulda gone with my design *insert picture of the most atrocious design of all time*.”

“Looks like ufl logo or highschoolish. Colors are fine. But that bird is something else,” another bird detractor wrote.

The Baltimore Ravens Are Making The Upgrades Where It Counts

Of course, the new helmets received some love, too. But it does appear that there are more fans who hate them than who love them.

The Ravens will be a little more concerned with their affairs on the field next season following their playoff disappointment last season.

They have made a major upgrade to the side by bringing in Pro Bowl running back Derrick Henry and will hope the addition could take them over the hump in 2024.
