Jake Paul has flaunted his new bulked-up body as he gears up for his upcoming fight against boxing legend Mike Tyson.

The YouTube star turned professional boxer is set to face off against Tyson in a professionally sanctioned match on July 20 at the Dallas Cowboys stadium in Texas, a venue that can hold up to 80,000 spectators.

This controversial bout has sparked debate among boxing enthusiasts, with many arguing that ‘Iron Mike’ shouldn’t be allowed to compete against someone three decades his junior.

Paul, who once weighed as little as 183lb during his early boxing days after leaving his internet fame behind, has now bulked up to 200lb for his last two victories. He currently weighs the same as former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua, just over two months ahead of his clash with Tyson.

However, Paul’s recent physique reveal has not been well received by some fans, who argue that he looks out of shape despite his weight gain. “Do you know how difficult it is to look that soft with that professional lighting,” one user commented. “Way too heavy for his height,” another added. “Looks like he ate a couple cheeseburgers,” a final user chimed in.

Tyson tipped the scales at 220lb for his exhibition match against fellow boxing great Roy Jones Jr in 2020, and Paul aims to weigh roughly the same for his bout with ‘Iron Mike’. The heavyweight icon recently left a reporter taken aback by revealing that he’s been consuming raw meat to get back into fighting form.

“It’s just like shocking to people that that is how much I weigh,” expressed Paul on his BS podcast. He further elaborated on the surprise of his weight gain stating, “I think just because normally I’m fighting at 200 and walking around at 210. It’s weird to me that I’m weighing 230. But since this was noodling after my last fight I’m just getting to eat as much as possible and it turns out my body carries this weight super well.”

Discussing his growth and training strategy, Paul continued, “I’m only growing. I think I’ll get up to 240 and probably cut down so I’m like way faster. But if I’m training for this camp – and camp hasn’t started – but if I’m training in this camp at 240 and then I cut down to 220 it’s basically like I had a 20lbs weight vest on for the whole entire camp. So my muscles are going to be so much stronger and that speed will come through.”
