Sian Welby has sparked fan fury on This Morning.

The ITV presenter was discussing Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause’s non-binary partner G Flip, who uses they/them pronouns, on Thursday’s instalment. Reading the showbiz news, Sian detailed the reality star’s upcoming sting on Neighbours.

Chrishell is heading Down Under to join the TV soap as businesswoman Yasmine ‘Yas’ Shields, with filming reportedly set for July. Her career move comes after tying the knot with Australian singing star G Flip in a secret wedding ceremony in Las Vegas last May.

Sian made reference to their star-studded nuptials as she mentioned Chrishell’s next move live on-air. “She’s made this massive announcement that she is joining the cast of Ramsay Street in Neighbours,” the presenter explained. “One of the theories behind her joining the cast is that she got married last year to an Aussie,” she added.

Making the slip up on camera, Sian continued: “It’s maybe like, is she doing this to make the move closer to his family and go back to Melbourne?” Fans flocked to social media after she appeared to call Chrishell’s partner “he”, using the wrong pronouns.

“Sian is so terrible at this, I think you’ll find Chrishell married G Flip who is a they and she would know this is if she actually watched Selling Sunset,” one penned on X, formally Twitter. Another said: “Chrishell isn’t married to an Aussie man.”

They continued: “#thismorning you’ll be in trouble for misgendering them.” While a third concluded: “His family?? G-Flips pronouns are they/them.” Chrishell herself previously slammed a Netflix co-star for misgendering her partner in an episode if Selling Sunset.

“My partner is non-binary, they use they/them pronouns. This is a simple thing,” she said, forcing her castmate to apologise. “This is the depth of our relationship where – the most important person in my life – you don’t know their pronouns.

“Which is totally fine, but my point is that you also don’t know me,” Chrishell explained. She previously opened up to Metro.co.uk about her decision to involve G Flip in the reality TV programme, saying: “Once we realized, okay, let’s just film where it’s just us and no drama can even infiltrate any of this scene, then it made me feel more comfortable adding G into such a chaotic show. It’s stressful to feel like you have this.

“I just felt like I was responsible for making sure that it didn’t add anything negative to their life, because they already deal with a lot with people and their opinions. That’s already a lot, so I don’t need to add whatever drama is going on on the show.

“That was something that we had many talks about until we found a place that we were really comfortable with. I’m obviously a little biased but those were my favourite things to shoot, because I knew it was going to be happy and no stress. So that was nice.”
