Hours after consuming the rogue berry, Alicia provided fans with a health update in a new Instagram post.

She shared a framed photo of herself sporting all pink, with the caption, “Alive and well! Don’t worry… I didn’t swallow,” adding a winky and smiley face emoji at the end.

Fans expressed relief that the Batman & Robin actress was doing okay in the post’s comment section.

“There was genuine concern,” wrote one person.

“Awww I was worried [for] a bit there,” added another.

A third fan commented, “You are all over the news.”

“I love good news,” remarked a fourth.

In the first video, which worried fans, the actress held up the orange-ish berry to the camera for fans to get a closer look.

Alicia said, “OK, I’ve discovered something that I can’t figure out what it is, and I need your help.

“I just bit into it because it was on the street, and we were discussing whether this was a tomato or not,” she added.

Panning the camera toward a bush laden with the fruit in someone’s private garden, Alicia continued, “It’s definitely not because look at these leaves. Those are the leaves, so what the heck is this?”

She took another bite and remarked that it tasted “almost like a pepper” while noting “I don’t think you’re supposed to eat this.”

Reiterating her confusion, Alicia captioned the video, “What the heck is this? I’m in England and can’t figure it out.

The clip has over 1.4 million views and over 7,000 comments on TikTok at the time of writing.

HEALTH CONCERN

Alicia’s fans rushed to the comments section to point out the fruit looks like solanum pseudocapsicum, also know as a “Jersusalem cherry” or “winter cherry.”

“Jerusalem Cherry… They are poisonous,” one TikTok user wrote.

“We used to put them down our friends tops and called it itching powder. Definitely do not eat them,” another person warned.

All parts of the plant, which belongs to the nightshade species, are poisonous – especially the unripe fruits.

If consumed, the fruit can cause symptoms like fever, sweating, vomiting, stomach pain, headaches, and increased heart rate.

The symptoms can take a few hours to manifest and can last for days.

LEFT HANGING

Fans urged the Hollywood actress for an update on her condition since the first video was posted.

One comment read, “Okay it is 7am in England, can you give us an update PLEASE. just a quick ‘hey I’m okay!'”

A second person wrote, “Is Alicia ok??? We need an update!”

“MAAM. It’s been 7 HOURS are you okay?? Cause like you took most of the second one down,” another TikToker wrote under the now-viral clip.

“WOMAN! UPDATE US. ARE YOU ALIVE AND WELL!?!” a fourth person commented.

“Really need part 2 of this video after reading the comments,” another popular comment read.

Other people criticized Alicia for “eating random stuff from bushes” and picking the fruit from “someone’s private front garden.”

“Girl! berries are either great or freaking poisonous!” one user said. “Don’t eat rando bush-things [crying emoji].”

Another person referenced her most famous Hollywood role, writing, “talk about Clueless.”
